Troop 92 offers Scouts opportunities for overnight (weekend) camping experiences 10 months of the year (September through June) and a weeklong event at a regional BSA camp (Yawgoog) in July and a weeklong canoe trip in August.
The troop's camping activities are a key part of the enjoyment of the scouting experience that also teach a wide variety of outdoor and life survival skills including first aid, shelter building, fire building, cooking, and orienteering. Many of Troop 92’s camping events take place in the local New England area and we have also attended trips to specialized locations including Gettysburg (Civil War Monument) and Mt. Vernon (Washington's Estate).
Each summer, Troop 92 Scouts join 3,000 other Scouts from around the Northeast to spend a week at the Yawgoog Boy Scout Reservation camp in upstate RI. The Yawgoog experience offers Scouts from all ages a full week overnight camping experience filled with opportunities to have fun while learning new skills and working on merit badges.
